A new “realistic” option to aid in the early detection of lung cancer is now available. PAULA’s test is a simple blood test performed on a yearly basis in patients at high-risk for lung cancer. PAULA’s Test, indicates the likelihood of a patient having lung cancer now and is used by your doctor to determine the need for follow-up radiological testing. By using PAULA’s Test patients increase the likelihood that cancer is detected in the early stage when it is curable by surgery. Furthermore they reduce their exposure to unnecessary radiation, time-off from work waiting at the radiology clinic, and chances of being falsely diagnosed.
